When atticus reacts to jem's boo radley game, what do you notice about the way he disciplines his children?

At this point in the book is the closest I think readers see Atticus to actually being angry at his children. I feel like Atticus thinks it's better to sit down and talk through the problem than spank the kids and create unnecessary resentment. Definitely a lawyer's approach to parenting (my dad's a lawyer and acts like this all the time.)
