Use the distributive property
y - 7 = 5x - 60

add 7
y=5x-53

To find the slope we have to get it into slope intercept form.

To do this, first distribute the 5.

Now the equation is:

y-7=5x-60

Then add 7 to both sides to get y by itself.

So now the equation is y=5x-53
y=mx+b

m is the slope.

That means 5 is the slope.

Hope this helps!
