I think the answer is B. The Fall Line. Rivers from Piedmont would often pass by the Fall Line. Oftentimes, the river current often "fall" or too strong,  making it very difficult for the large boats to pass by the area. The government of Georgia decided to create trading post around the area to make it more accessible for traders and merchants
