Why is it so important to determine the genus and species of an organism causing disease?

Many reasons,

1: To stop the spread of disease, and possibly come up with a cure if one has not been made already.

2: To figure out if it is an invasive species.

3: I mean we should all know what's causing the disease, because it could be deadly.
