Make y the subject:

y = 6 - x

Now, use Elimination.

0 = 3x - 3

Divide both sides by 3:

0 = x - 1

So x = 1.

Substitute back into the equation:

y = 6 - (1)

So y = 5.

Hence, the answers are x = 1, y = 5.
