We know that there is a 1/2 chance of selecting either color. Let's say that the numerator represents red and the denominator represents black. We have a 1/2 chance of picking a red card overall. In this scenario, we have the event of 2/3. If we multiply these fractions we get 2/6, which is equal to 1/3.

The probability is 1/3.
